Michael David Murray
PORTLAND – Michael David Murray was born in Lemoore, California, and passed away on Tuesday, May 16, in Portland. He had survived brain abscesses in 1976 and an open-heart surgery at the age of 10. He grew up in Salem and Eugene, graduating from Sprague High School in 1987. He attended Chemeketa Community College, receiving paramedic training and obtained his Associate Degree in general studies from Portland Community College in 2002. Michael loved working in the medical field, in various positions, including being an ER clerk. He had also worked as a warehouseman, construction worker, apprentice plumber, apprentice electrician, and truck driver.
He lived in Phoenix, San Francisco, San Diego, and Portland. He loved the ocean beaches and also loved to write, and compose poetry.
Survivors are his Mom, Lynn; Dad, Phil; brother, Jeff; sister, Carol; and niece, Sierra. There are many other family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m., Fri., May 26, 2006 at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service. Memorial flowers may be sent to Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service.
